a statistical issue.

I am not a fan of stats.
So now to lightly negate what I have said about stats, here is a stat chart of what the world would look like if it were reduced two the sum of 100.
If we could shrink the earth's population to a village of precisely 100 people, with all the existing human ratios remaining the same, it would look like this:
There would be:
57 Asians
21 Europeans
14 from the Western Hemisphere (north and south)
8 Africans
52 would be female
48 would be male
70 would be non Christian
30 would be Christian
89 would be heterosexual
11 homosexual
59% of the entire world's wealth would be in the hands of only 6 people and all 6 would be citizens of the United States
80 would live in substandard housing
70 would be unable to read
50 would suffer from malnutrition
1 would be near death
1 would be near birth
1 would have a college education
1 would own a computer When one considers our world in light of this, the need for both acceptance and understanding becomes glaringly apparent.

Wile there are more complete versions of this "stat chart" on the Internet this one sufficed for the point it was making to me.
We live in a dream world North America, realize it and regard what has been so readily given to you. There is so much in place to make it VERY difficult for you to die go hungry, homeless or uneducated. We look at the homeless In our country as lazy junkies who make no way for themselves and leach off of society. In other countries though, that same standard of living is what the regular population survives in.. Since we know so little about 3rd tier life we don't bat an eye. but travel for something other than to vacation and you will come face to face with a statistic that can walk, talk, breath and smile. Much as I dislike national statistics, it is far worse to treat someone as a number on a white board.
Be it sport stats, credit stats, stock market or video game stats. couldn't really care for them.
In this world which makes about as much sense to me as a rubik's cube does to a 3 year old. not the science experiment 3 year old Chinese baby that solved the cube in 114 seconds (yay everyone gasp Chinese kids are smart to), but the normal ones ingloriously getting a few syllables out of their face holes kids. all of that anecdotal bullshit to say "why should I pay attention to the stats out there." What has stats Canada ever told me that I actually cared about, why do I want to know that I have a higher chance of dieing from Renal Failure than I do of being shot.

"70 would be unable to read" I don't know what the stat is for people appreciating the ability to read, but at the very most it could NEVER be more than 30 percent. maybe 5 percent of simians out there are actually cognizant of how important their reading ability is.
Now get outta here.
I'm going to go appreciate a good book.
